Please be aware that there are standards for the naming of prefixes that can
be applied to units <http://www.unc.edu/~rowlett/units/sipm.html>.

Do not confuse binary prefixes with Metric prefixes
eg metric prefixes <http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Units/prefixes.html>

giga- (G-)

1 billion
mega- (M-)

1 million
kilo- (k-)
103
1 thousand
and binary prefixes <http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Units/binary.html>
