I could give you a markup which redefines free links like
[[Mr. Donald O'Hara]] without a group part, but basically same as
[[MrDonaldOHara| Mr. Donald O'Hara]]

The expression gets converted into a wiki word, but the original stays
as a label. To create new groups it may then be best to use a form,
like NewGroupBox. It means though that all free links are always
pointing to pages in the current group. To create links which can
point to page sin other groups one would need to use one of th eother
link markups, like

[[Mr. Donald O'Hara => Group.MrDonaldOHara]] or
[[Group.MrDonaldOHara| Mr. Donald O'Hara]]

Would that be acceptable?
