seconds. Now they load in 1 to 2 seconds.
I've seen several people discussing this and making mention of dramatic
improvements like this by going to a new host. Does anybody have knowledge
of what is causing these dramatic improvements? More memory? More CPU?
Presumably it's not an upload/download speed because most of my rendered
pages are reasonably small. I would be very interested in knowing what
makes the difference so I could make a sugar-coated request to my host (who
is generously providing the hosting for free). I know I downloaded a wamp
server to my laptop and I'm getting similar (20-30 second) page load speeds
and my laptop is no Ferrari but neither is it a Ford Escort (apologies to
escort owners - I had a bad experience with them).
