the problem comes from here:

http://www.hardened-php.net/suhosin/

and here *are* size limits. it's possible to remove these limits, but 
as they are done for safety reason I think it better not to.

I will simply cut my text in smaller chunks...

only notice than openSUSE installs suhosin by default
