[pmwiki-users] reason for not working encrypt?

Hallo

The page SiteAdmin.AuthUser locally obeys the (:encrypt   .. markup
At the www-site I get after saving:

alice:$1$DO0.Qo0.$MWboa03GUKJebHo6F6lXa/   

peter:(:encrypt peter:) 

===end excerpt===

 

alice was encrypted locally  the file is then uploaded peter is added (edit)
and saving does not show any change. 

Why?
