This was to my knowledge not resolved. I try to address this with
another topic about ISO 8859-1 character conversion.

you should disable guibuttons in the Forum.php file, so the script is
not laded. Then you also need to remove (:guibuttons:) markup from
forms.

Did you have guibuttons installed normally? I suspect some fault
perhaps in guibuttons.php trying to find the image files.
