[pmwiki-users] how to display download link only if file exists?

Is there a way to display a download link only if the file exists in the 
upload directory? The constraints are that uploads are disabled in the 
group/page that needs to display the download links.

Experimentally, Attach:file just disappears when uploads are disabled, 
regardless of whether file exists in the upload directory. Arguably, 
Attach:file should disappear only if downloads are disabled and file 
doesn't exist. This would provide the solution I'm looking for. But, is 
there another way?
