Oh, I forgot to add
    formcheck=comment,access,author
to (:fox commentform ....
i.e.  (:fox commentform formcheck=comment,access,author pagecheck=...
in ForumX.CommentForm and FoxForum.CommentForm

This will enable the javascript form entry check and prevents empty
posts.

For your own FoxForum installation:
Have you upgraded from a previous one?
Then you need to check the page templates and CommentForm pages, as
the new ones in cookbook/foxforum/wikilib.d may not be used when you
have same name pages in your wiki.d
