Weird.  It's acting as though you might be hitting the $MaxIncludes
limit.  Try setting it to a higher number, such as

    $MaxIncludes = 10000;

and see if that fixes the problem.

(Somehow it doesn't seem to me as though that should be the problem,
but try it anyway just in case.)
