interesting - that's the opposite of my (usenet biased) preferences - 
"no courtesy copies, please". There are times where I don't want to 
see list replies but need to see customer mails.

Well, the list software could add both addreses to the Reply-To:

The problem is that others don't see the answers to your posts if 
they are sent only to you.

And not everybody hits "reply to all" - I usually send replies _only_ 
to the list (if I don't forget it).
