I have hacked the addlink script to do exactly what you want. I keep 
forgetting to post it to Cookbook. I'll email you the code later today.

My version prompts you for a title then creates a new page in a group 
you define (mine is called Scrapbook) with the page name called 
yyyymmdd. Text highlighted on the originating page is copied to the new 
wiki page. If this page already exists, the text is appended to the 
existing text.

There are a couple of limitations:

Because I use the GET method the amount of text is limited by the limit 
on the length of a url and is roughly 1,000 chars.

There are a few problems urldecoding the encoded text, which means some 
special characters don't get pasted in the correct format.
