Were I planning to use Site.AuthUser, I would have no clue how to produce

    username: $1$Oq6.2RKJ$Qi0Y8YpCUSqF2sQxBO9r/.

Is there a step involving ?action=crypt missing?

And I did a little work in a couple other spots, to clarify things.
