[pmwiki-users] New Recipe--Members Offices

Greetings all,

Was so excited about some new Members Offices I set up on my website I
thought I would post the steps I took on PmWiki for feedback on
whether or not it should be added as a new Recipe.

The recipe only involves standard PmWiki features--but used a little
creatively. (The only other recipe it needs is NewPageBox). But, I
don't currently see anything like it in the Cookbook, and suspect some
might enjoy using it.

Basically, it allows a user to create an office out of their Profiles
page, in just a click of a mouse. Each office comes with an
office/profile page to introduce himself, a page for members to post
personal announcements, a page for messages from other members, and a
buddylist. Other features could be added easily such as a
TrackMyPosts page, etc. The office creation page also lists all
current offices automatically. And author links work exactly as they
should, also. All in all, it's sweet!

If anyone wants to take a look, it is at Profiles/Caveman on the
PmWiki site. I have a question or two and would be open to ideas for
strengthening it. Let me know if there is any thoughts about whether
or not this should be added to the cookbook. Perhaps with some help
from a few more experienced coders, it would be something worth
adding.

Thanks so much, for everyone's help with PmWiki. I'm sold.

Caveman
