[pmwiki-users] adding a url typ

how do I add an url typ? I did try with:

config.php
    $IMap['irc:'] = 'irc:$1';


skin.php
    GLOBAL $IMap
    $IMap['irc:'] = 'irc:$1';


but seams not to work. At the end it should provide following linktyps:

    irc://irc.freenode.net/channel
