Well that did not help either.
So we are stuck with running up huge histories if we prepend similar
templated inserts.

So how can I add code to restrict running up huge histories?
Is $DiffKeepDays the only tool to restrict page history size?
Do we have  a "flush history" tool? Or better "flush history but the
last n entries"?
