That might be a good idea, it has not been a trivial task for me at 
least.  But then I am not an expert on PhP.

I have at least got the mimetex.html page to work, so I know that it 
is not the CGI thing that is the cause of the trouble.  Plonk the 
mimetext.html file at the root of htdocs and the mimetex.exe file in 
cgi-bin and it works.

My guess is that the problem is with the references to files in 
config.php and mimetex.php.  The structure I have in my (Windows) 
Apache server is c:\apache2\cgi-bin\, this is where I have placed the 
mimetex.exe file. As to the Wiki itself, that is located in 
c:\apache2\htdocs\textbook.

What else do I need to solve the problem?
