[pmwiki-users] Case Insensitivity with AuthUser

Hi,

I am wondering whether anyone has an idea as to how we could make it so that AuthUser usernames are case insensitive (so that it is impossible for there to be the different usernames 'User', 'USER' and 'user' existing at the same time. I assume that the simplest way to do this would be to ensure that, at registration, the username gets automatically stored in lowercases.

I am using FAST membership for registration (http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/Cookbook/FASTMembership) ; and would also like to set up something similar to FAST offices (http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/Caveman/FASTOffices) where users can edit only the userpages whose name is the same as their username. This is done by using (:if expr name {$AuthId} ...etc :) in Site.EditForm .

However on my (apparently) linux server, and on my windows computer, I am able to edit the page UserPages.User with the username 'useR'.

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Huw
