[pmwiki-users] question about password files

I like to have the same passworts like in Apache.
So I like to use authuser with a passwordfile, which doesn't work yet.
When I checked may apache pw file 
created with  htpassword, there is a different encryption 
(example:NPtapYBNVvC02)
 than crpyt in pmwiki. (same:

$1$5SAPuUxk$Fd9Y8ojRDbFnpYZx.f1zq. )

What kind of passwordfiles does authuser accept? 
There is certainly also a way to tell apache to use the same encrption 
(htpasswd has some parms). 

May be somebody can give me a hint.
