It's probably been mentioned, but using an intermap it's easy to make e.g
 
	[[host:something.jpg]]

point to "http://www.pmwiki.org/something.jpg". In a similar manner, I
could imagine defining

	[[root:something.jpg]]

to result in a link pointing to "/something.jpg". And from 'root' it's a
short step to simply writing 

	[[/something.jpg]]

assuming you're used to *nix :-)  For PC-people, I guess they might expect

	[[\something.jpg]]

to work that way ;-)
