[pmwiki-users] Placing conditional defs

OK, folks.

This is a bit general so I ask it on the list:
Problem: Is there a way to place functional markup such that it's going to 
be accessible only in a given template?

Example: I put definitions like

in my local config.php, but I want to distribute that only with the mod 
gemini template I'm working on.

Also, Pm, is it secure to give access like this to the pass array, or is 
there a better way to display a specific icon/text depending on the 
existence of a given type of pass?

And last, my solution can't differentiate yet by where the pass lock is 
coming (wiki or group), unless I define a variable for that purpose and 
give it a value in each local group settings. Somehow that seems bulky.
