Well, the fix was inadvertent.  :-)  Unfortunately, I'm a little worried
that the change I made that fixed this may have broken something else --
all the more reason for having a testing suite.  

Anyway, you're very welcome; thanks for letting me know that particular
bug is fixed.  Was there a PITS entry for it?
