I was so happy when I read the earlier post on this :)

So for invocation, how about ?action=sync&type=field&rsite=domain.com/thisfield

And an attr-readable page in Site containing stuff like:

type=page, type=group, type= field, type=farm

with an input field (or pop-up list with values given in a config 
array?) for the target(s).
