Not exactly.  Since the Site group is protected by Site.GroupAttributes,
clearing the password on Site.SideBar won't have any effect (i.e.,
it's already empty).

To allow editing of a page within a password-protected group,
set the page's edit password to "nopass".  (Page passwords override
group passwords...)
