[pmwiki-users] conditional for existence of a file?

Is there a way to define a condition to test whether or not a file  
exists?

My goal is to display file attachments or a notation saying that  
there are no attachments, and the easiest way seemed to be to check  
whether or not the $UploadsDir/$Fullname directory exists... though  
I'm open to other suggestions, if someone has a better way.
