Last time I checked, it was working. I have bunches of tables in my
test wiki and with beta36 they work just fine.
However, it seems that the added space makes the colspan more readable.
I had a suggestion some time ago, and I made a recipe that seems to
have vanished:
||r=4 cell text||c=3 celltext|| would first make a rowspanning=4
cell, then a colspanning=3 cell.
