I looked briefly but didn't see an easy way to do it in v1.  Sorry.

Yup -- in fact in v2 it's fairly simple to do.  You can even 
define a specialized markup (e.g. [:incledit ...:]) that provides
the button while leaving [:include:] alone (or vice versa).
