"bygroup" is the default for (:pagelist:), and "search" is the
default for (:searchresults:).

"simple" is just an option.  There's also an outstanding PITS request
to be able to display a horizontal list of pages
(http://www.pmwiki.org/PITS/00055), but I'm awaiting feedback as to 
how that horizontal list should be formatted before I can implement
it -- probably as a Cookbook recipe.
