[Pmwiki-users] Author field won't always retain Author's name

Concerning the "Author" field on the edit page, I have one site that works
fine, on that sorta works, and one that never works correctly.

On one site, the 'Author' is NEVER remembered from page edit to page edit,
on another site it seems that certain computers can retain the previous
'Author' entry, and on yet another site, the 'Author' is ALWAYS remembered.

As I'm sitting here thinking about it, I think it may have something to do
with whether or not a password is required. On a public (no edit password)
wiki site ( www.rowlettrcclub.com - a pmwiki 1.x site) the Author is always
retained in the browser. on another site (www.springparkcc.com/racquet ),
where an edit password is required, the Author is not retained... Well looky
there..it DID retain it on THIS computer but not on my laptop or the office
computer.

What gives?? What is significant or related to the Author field that would
make some computers keep this and some not?

oh..and for grins, I installed a new pmwiki-2.0_devel_13 instance on the
same webserver that runs both rowlettrcclub and springparkcc..and the 2.0
server is NOT retaining the Author! go figure!
