I thought I'd post a link to a short tutorial I created recently on 
using wikis as a tool to create classroom community.

It's a one short evening draft that shamelessly uses some code stolen 
from Wikipedia and oversimplifies and elides a number of issues... but 
it was sufficient to get a group of faculty in the hinterlands a) 
excited about the prospect of using wikis in their classrooms and b) 
onto a couple of sample wiki sites where they merrily posted contents 
and had a generally good time despite their minds being a little blown 
by the principles of the "wiki way."
