Actually, I've never intended "Q:" and "A:" to extrapolate to
a generic "^[[:upper:]]:" markup syntax.  I chose "Q:" and "A:" 
mainly because (1) they're a natural markup for writing FAQ-style 
text (a fairly common application), and (2) as a demonstration of 
how custom markups can be introduced into PmWiki.  Indeed, this is
also why these simple extensions are given as a separate module
(scripts/faq.php) and not part of the core pmwiki.php code.

The other proposals, such as "=Q", "[:Q:]", etc. do have the
advantage of being consistent with other syntax, but are less
natural to me than the simple "Q:" and "A:".  In general, I think
that a more natural markup, when available, is a good idea even
if it doesn't follow a standardized/regular syntax.  But I'm not
steadfast on this point.  :-)
