Ummm, PmWiki 0.6 or 2.0?  2.0 doesn't define [[<<]] as a break, because
double-brackets are used to mean "links".  (Yes, I need a suitable
replacement for [[<<]] in 2.0 markup.)

In 0.6 the example you gave looks correct to me--the first one is "blah",
a break, then a definition list of ":foo:bar"; the second one is 
"blah<br />:foo:bar" (trailing backslash joins lines).

Were you looking for a different result?
