[Pmwiki-users] Can I import the local user and password to pmwiki?

Dear all,

We installed a PmWiki for our website. 
However, we want only our current or future users of our system can
read and edit this wiki site.
Is that possible to import the user and encrypted password from
UNIX/LINUX system (or NIS server) to the PmWiki, thus all users of our
system can get the right to access the wiki site, but others outside
of our group can not.

Or is there any other similar solutions for my requirement?
