[Pmwiki-users] pmwiki, suexec and php as cgi

Hi, new to the list.

I've been trying to intall pmwiki on my dreamhost account. Dreamhost,
for security, uses suexec on it server which I understand causes all
scripts to run as the clients account name rather than noone and
nogroup. I essentially cannot do a chmod 2777 or a chmod 777 to let
pmwiki install properly. It won't create wiki.d etc. The server also
runs php as cgi, which again they recommend for security purposes,
though I can turn it off. I've been looking through the archives and on
the pmwiki site to see if I can find an answer but so far haven't had
any luck. I had and aquaintence who said that he patched the script
and would help me do it, (Clinton at Anvilwerks.com) but that was some
time ago and so far emails to him haven't brought any response..
Anyone have suggestions about how I might get this installed?

best,

Trevis
