[pmwiki-devel] commentboxplus throws error

All went well with developing commentboxplus on my local machine, but
uploading it to the server it throws an error, on all pages, not just the one
with (:commentbox:) markup.
Error message:
Warning: Wrong parameter count for str_replace() in /home/..../farm/pmwiki.php(1317)
 : regexp code on line 4

I have no clue what this means or what it could be caused by.
Please help!
