How well does Parrot perform?

Well, we don't know yet.

Benchmarks of runtime generated code show that the runtime engine can be competitive.

Some issues remain in Parrot subroutine dispatch (being worked on)

Compile speed is slow, but we're running unoptimized

Parsing is also being sped up
